FAB Farmers Herbal Leys Demonstration Event
FABulous Farmers is a new European project designed to support farmers in the transition to more agro-ecological practices on their farms.
This is a regional demonstration event for the FABulous Farmers Programme focusing on the FAB measure of diverse/herbal leys.
The team at Rothamsted will be sharing and then demonstrating, as part of a farm tour, the research projects currently underway at North Wyke that focus around diverse leys and their ability to improve functional agro-biodiversity (FAB). These include The Toolbox of Multi-species Swards project (TOMS), Achieving Sustainable Agricultural Systems project (ASSIST), The North Wyke Farm Platform and a Precision Grazing Project.
